The Golf Capital of Latin America

It's not hard to see why this region is known as the "Golf Capital of Latin America." Los Cabos is a true golfer's paradise with turquoise waters, sandy beaches and a beautiful sunny climate perfect for golfing all year-round. Gently rocked by waves of the Pacific Ocean on one side, the Sea of Cortez on the other, Los Cabos is home to some of the most exhilarating ocean-front golfing in the world. The area's golf courses are so beautiful and plentiful that Los Cabos has in just a few short years, become Mexico's hottest golf destination. This region has been host to the prestigious PGA Senior Slam Tournament since 1995.

Mexico's tourist development agency Fonatur teed off the game in the early eighties when they opened Campo de Golf, the first 9-hole golf course in San Jose Del Cabo. That was just the beginning of great things to come; golf has grown to become one of the biggest attractions in Los Cabos.

Today Los Cabos boasts three Jack Nicklaus designed golf facilities, the twenty-seven holes at Palmilla, 18 holes at the new El Dorado Golf Club at Cabo Real, and 18 holes at Cabo del Sol. There are also Robert Trent Jones II and Peter Dye courses along the corridor between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, as well as the Tom Weiskopf 18-hole course at Cabo del Sol. Many of these offer spectacular ocean views, and quite a few have holes that are right along the water.
