Fabulous Beaches

Beautiful Beaches - Palm BeachArashi Beach, where enchanting thatched beach huts dot the white powder sand, is a must visit. The shallow clear water is populated by tropical fish, making this a perfect spot for swimming and snorkeling.

Hadikurari Beach, just south of the lighthouse near the northwestern tip of Aruba, is also renowned for its great snorkeling. Baby Beach is a manmade sandy spot with calm and shallow waters, perfect for safe swimming for the whole family.

Palm Beach and Eagle Beach are also popular and worthwhile choices. For the less bashful sun worshipper, there is Punto Brabo, where the surf is brisk and bathing suit tops are optional.

Golf

Tierra del Sol golf courseThe ocean view will be as memorable as the 18 holes when playing the seaside layout at the Tierra del Sol country club at the northeastern point of the island. With challenging holes and unbelievable scenery, this stunning course may just be your finest island experience.

Deep Sea Fishing

Drop a line and catch your dinner right from the salty depths? There's no reason why not! A number of restaurants will be happy to prepare your catch for you. Dine on your own fresh caught bonito, kingfish or marlin. There are a variety of fishing charters available, from full day to half day, often including lunch and beverages.

Horseback Riding

Horseback ridingAruba's dramatic interior desert scapes make an impressive backdrop for a day on horseback. You can also ride at the tropical ranch known as Daimari. Appearing like an oasis in the mainly arid countryside, this surprisingly lush pocket of greenery is comprised of a coconut plantation and ranch. A popular ride is from here to the romantic natural pool at Boca Ketu. Alternatively, you can rent a dune buggy nearby and 4-wheel it to the pool.

Diving & Snorkeling

Super diving! The World War II-era wrecks of a sunken German freighter and a tanker, both off the coast of Malmok, highlight the possibilities for divers. A reef on Aruba's leeward coast makes for lots of great diving and snorkeling, thanks to visibility that can reach 100 feet and plenty of tropical fish. Other good areas for snorkeling include Boca Grandi, which has good elkhorn coral, Palm Beach and Baby Beach.

Watersports

Sea kayaking, sailing, parasailing and water skiing top the list of other options for sports enthusiasts.

Thanks to the consistently present trade winds, Aruba has fantastic windsurfing. The favored spot for experienced surfers is Fisherman's Hut, just north of Palm Beach. Malmok, just a little further north, is a good place to find your windsurfing wings, while Boca Grandi and Bachelor's Beach in the southeast are popular with those wanting a little more space. There are plenty of stands and shops renting windsurfing equipment.

Yachts offer coastal cruises with snorkeling and swimming stops and can also be chartered for great days at sea. Or go under the water with a semi-submarine tour of the island, and see coral reefs and shipwrecks through the underwater windows.
